About The Opportunity

Job Purpose

This positionwill provide day-to-day support in compliance to regulatory, statutory,customer and internal requirements to process and procedures. To provide technical and administrativeleadership to ensure that performance to processes and quality of productsconform to established company, international and governmental regulatorystandards, agency guidelines, and customer requirements by reviewing, auditingand maintaining quality assurance policies, processes, and procedures.


QualityManagement System

  • Ensure that audit preparations are conducted in advance to prevent or mitigate potential external non-compliance

  • Ensure that procedures are compliant to customer and regulatory requirements, and being executed appropriately thru auditing

  • Verify that effective corrective actions plans are in place that will result in resolution or risk mitigation plans are in place to minimize product quality non compliance or process non compliance during external audits.

· Plan pre-audit and audit function of operational plans and procedures and coordinate with internal and external customer to ensure satisfactory quality system performance.

  • Plan and organize company resources in order to achieve audit goals and objectives during external audits

· Resolve issues at department or company level to mitigate risk and audit non-compliances.

· Conduct pre-audit and audits using benchmarking to meet regulatory, statutory, customer and internal requirements.

  • Review products, processes, software, equipment and measurement systems requirements for compliance

· Develop audit process improvement procedures.

· Analyze and compile audit performance reports and process improvement statistics in order to determine and improve process compliance.

· Provide technical expertise to company employees, customers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide education and coaching on the company’s quality system

  • Ensure that plans/processes are in place and executed to minimize or eliminate product escapes

· Ensure that corrective actions have data and data analysis to effectively identify root cause, containment, interim and long term corrective action planning and decisions, as well as quantifiable verification and monitoring exit criteria

  • Support efforts to ensure overall customer satisfaction relative to external audits

· Participate in the creation and revision of operational/program plans and/or procedures and coordinate with customer representatives to ensure satisfactory quality system performance.

· Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance.

· Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administrationand/or a combination of education and relevant experienceor auditor certificationsin lieu of degree.

Experience and Qualifications

· 5+ years experience in quality auditing in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment (or Automotive)

· Good interpersonal skills. Good written, oral communication skills and leadership skills.

· Certified Lead Auditor or internal auditor by an external third party agency to the aerospace standard.

· A fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.

· Proficient in quality system and quality system development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.

· Full knowledge of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, tools and follow-up.

· Able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.

· Knowledgeable of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools and reporting.

· Thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point is preferred.
