About The Opportunity
The Sr. HR Manager will lead HR strategy and execution for the GKN Aerospace Florida site and will serve as the primary HR focal for site based HR initiatives and activities which will employ up approximately 150 hourly and salaried employees by late 2018. This position will report directly to the Florida Site Leader (once appointed) with a matrix reporting relationship to the Advanced Composite Structures Human Resources Director and will be a key member of the Florida site Leadership team.Responsibilities include:
HR Business Partner for site leadership team ensuring connectivity, consistent communication and seamless execution of Aerospace and site initiatives.
Provides a broad range of HR support actions for achieving business objectives to include talent management, organization effectiveness (change management, leader effectiveness, organization design), and employee engagement.
Partner with the recruiting Center of Excellence to fill salaried positions.
Create and carry out affordable and effective strategy for filling hourly positions to meet needs of business.
Implement HR strategies and execute actions that support the long-term business goals and objectives.
Lead Human Resource core processes: performance management, change management, succession planning, training, merit planning, and variable pay compensation plans
Deliver strategies for workforce planning, deployment, training and retention to address the current and future needs of the business while ensuring a diverse workforce.
Responsible for all HR compliance for federal, state, and local laws as well as compliance associated with GKN government contracts (OFCCP).
Manages all employee relations for both hourly and salaried workforce.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related degree is required.
5+ years of HR Generalist experience in manufacturing environment, 8 years overall experience in Human Resources
U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
Experience with using MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel
Travel approximately 10%
2+ years of experience working as a plant HR site lead and/or start-up of a plant strongly preferred;
2+ years of experience leading transformational HR projects.
Master's degree preferred, with a concentration in Human Resources, Organization Development or trainingUnderstanding of project management standards and practices
Experience within a matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and human resources activities
Demonstrated ability to positively influence others
Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers.
Working knowledge and experience of HR practices in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Proven track record of successful project management on large scale, long term projects.
Familiarity with US Export compliance and international trade laws, prior US clearance desired
Experience driving execution and results on projects in which there are often "blurred" lines of responsibility
Experience and or knowledge of how to effectively work in a matrixed organization
Experience with HR best practices and working within a global or multi-national organization; capable of leveraging past experience to the benefit of GKN
Advanced skills in MS Office, MS Project Experience preferred
Demonstrated Experience with change management and stakeholder management
